Traumas & Triggers

  • I was born in the wrong body, made to believe I was not a girl.
  • I was isolated and sheltered by my family of origin.
  • I was conditioned and raised a Southern-Baptist Christian.
  • I was required to transition in a world that is hostile towards those that do.
  • I was abandoned by my family of origin.
  • I was controlled and coerced to be inauthentic by my first relationship.

Values

  • Authenticity. People should not have to mask or hide who they are.
  • Autonomy. People should not be controlled or coerced.
  • Freedom of Love. People are free to love whoever they love.
  • Love is not Scarce. Love is not rare, nor is it a finite resource to be spent or hoarded.
  • Emotions. Emotions are important, valuable, not to be suppressed or repressed, and should be cared for.
  • Logic. Decisions should make sense.
  • Recognition. People should be recognized for who they are, for the things they do.
  • Accountability. People should be accountable for their mistakes. We all make mistakes, but it is important to own them.
  • Forgiveness. People acting in good faith should be forgiven.
  • Sexuality is not Sinful. People should not have to hide or feel shame around orientation, kinks, or fetishes.

Purpose

  • I will make the lives of those I love better.
  • I will protect, care for, and nurture those I care about.
  • I will respect the autonomy of others.
  • I will build a family of my own built upon my values.
  • I will live authentically, I will not hide.
  • I will make the world a better place for people who have similar traumas.

Needs

  • Companionship. I need partners I can deeply intertwine my life with; that I can rely on and who can rely on me; a group with which I belong.
  • Affection. I need to feel cared for, to feel loved, to feel important to others.
  • Emotional support. I need people I can fall apart with; where I can talk about my emotions and be heard; where I can be a mess and be taken care of.
  • Love. I need people I can love and who love me. Not for what I do, could do, or have done. Not just some version of me. But for who I am. Who I can love for who they are.
  • Care. I need people I can take care of and people who can take care of me.
  • Quality time. I need to spend dedicated, quality time with people I love.
  • Touch. I need skin-to-skin contact. I need to touch and to be touched.
  • Praise and Affirmation. I need to be told that I am appreciated, that my effort is seen and appreciated, and that I am doing a good job.
  • Communication. I need to be able to exchange ideas, experiences, and opinions openly, clearly, and honestly. I need to be able to have difficult conversations with those that I love and still feel heard.
  • Solitude. I need time alone to recharge. To do my own thing. To introspect.

Wants

  • Peace and Stability. I want my partners and I to be able to live without worry for the future.
  • Joy and Longevity. I want my partners and I to be happy and healthy together.
  • Fulfillment. I want my pursuits to make a meaningful improvement to the lives of those I care for.
